National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders (NPQML)

Overview

Working towards your NPQML, you will be supported and challenged as you achieve this professional qualification.

Objectives

The course:

  • helps develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to lead a high-performing team in a school and to improve classroom practice
  • deepens understanding in leading with impact, teaching and curriculum excellence, increasing capability, school strategy and improvement, working in partnership and managing resources and risks
  • enables you to evaluate your leadership behaviours and plan how you will develop these during your study programme

Facilitators

All Facilitators are SSAT trained.

Audience

The NPQML is designed for those who are new to the role, or are aspiring to become, a middle leader with responsibility for leading a team.

Course commitment

A combination of full day and twilight sessions throughout the year

Online engagement with peers and through the Knowledge Hub platform

Real-world workplace learning and improvement project

Engagement with peer coaching model.

Cost

Payment of £900 for each applicant should be made with booking.  Full DfE scholarship funding is available for schools in Category 5 & 6 areas subject to certain criteria.
