The Outstanding Teacher Programme (OTP)

Overview

This programme is open to all teachers within the Trust with the potential and capacity to deliver highly effective lessons consistently, and who want to develop a mind set of excellence.

Objectives

The programme:

  • provides in-depth coaching to deepen teachers’ understanding of highly effective classroom practice using DR ICE
  • introduces and consolidates new knowledge and skills, focusing on what makes teaching and learning most effective
  • forms part of the school’s professional development provision

Facilitators

All Facilitators are OLEVI trained

Audience

Teachers with a strong commitment to Teaching and Learning and show that they are inspiring individuals with strong interpersonal skills and who are role models

Commitment

The programme is facilitated over a 10 week period and consists of two full days, 5 x 1/2 day sessions, plus 3 sessions of in-school practice where peer planning and observation can take place. Colleagues must attend all sessions to be accredited.

1.     Wednesday, 6th November 1pm – 4.30pm

2.     Tuesday, 12th November 8.30am – 3pm

3.     Tuesday, 26th November 8.30am – 12pm

4.     Monday, 2nd December 8.30am – 3pm

5.     Thursday, 12th December 8.30am – 12pm

6.     Friday, 10th January 8.30am – 12pm

7.     Wednesday, 29th January 1pm – 4.30pm
